Dear Parent:

GOLD COUNTRY FIREARMS is proud to be associated with the NRA and their ”Eddie Eagle GunSafe® Program”, and are happy to provide you with this award-winning safety program to your school, church or community organization.  GOLD COUNTRY FIREARMS and the NRA feel so strongly about Children and Gun Safety, that the ”Eddie Eagle GunSafe® Program” is offered at no cost to you or your organization, and believe that you will find this program to be an extremely effective way to provide children with an accident prevention plan that really works!

Let us begin by explaining that The Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program” does notteach gun handling, gun nomenclature or gun use. It makes no value judgments about whether guns are good or bad. It does not promote gun use or participation in any shooting sports. 

The program instead teaches children four important steps to take if they find a gun. These steps are presented in an easy-to-remember' format consisting of the following simple rules:

If you find a gun:

STOP!

Don't Touch.

Leave the Area.

Tell an Adult.

Our experience has shown that children can easily remember these rules, and the friendly character Eddie Eagle facilitates and reinforces their learning experience. Using a fast-paced, colorful, animated video and fun-filled activity books, Eddie teaches his young friends to repeat and follow his simple safety message.

This program, for children in Pre-Kindergarten through third grade, was developed through the combined efforts of such qualified professionals as clinical psychologists, reading specialists, teachers, curriculum specialists, urban housing safety officials, and law enforcement personnel.
